Now that the fuss has settled over the Palestinian conference in Malmö, this is my conclusion:
You cannot be seen in a picture with someone who was seen in a picture with someone else. And so on.
This is the reality Swedish Muslims are living. They collectively have to answer against terrorist allegations and of Hamas infiltration. This is not unlike the experience of the Swedish Jews in the 30´s. We are sending a message to the Swedish Muslims that they don´t belong here. It is sad to see that we now are back in the McCarthy era of the 50’s.
To quote Joseph Welch’s question to communist hunter McCarthy, in a TV-hearing in June 1954:
”Have you no sense of decency?”
